UK–Zimbabwe sender guide
Send a parcel to Zimbabwe from the UK with a traveller
Nhume helps you find people already flying to Zimbabwe who have spare checked-luggage space. You compare their available kilograms and price per kilogram, make a request and arrange the rest directly if they accept.
Nhume is not a parcel courier
Nhume introduces members. We do not transport, track or insure items, handle customs or take payment. The sender and traveller remain responsible for checking the journey and their agreement.
How it works
- Search journeys from London to Harare, or change the cities and date.
- Compare the traveller’s departure date, unused capacity and price per kilogram.
- Describe the contents, weight, dimensions and value accurately when you request space.
- If the traveller accepts, exchange contact details and agree the inspection, handover, payment and arrival update directly.
- Both people check the airline, airport, transit and customs requirements before the item changes hands.
How is the price worked out?
Every traveller sets their own listing price. Nhume does not publish a route-wide rate or add a platform fee. A simple starting estimate is:
Accepted weight × traveller’s price per kilogram = estimated payment
Which UK and Zimbabwe cities can I search?
Listings can start anywhere a member is travelling from, including London, Birmingham, Manchester or another UK city. Common Zimbabwe destinations include Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. Search results depend on journeys that members have genuinely posted.
See the UK to Zimbabwe route page and current listings.
What should I check before handover?
- Keep every item open and available for the traveller to inspect.
- Make sure the description, weight and value are accurate.
- Do not ask a traveller to accept sealed, unknown or substituted contents.
- Check the airline’s baggage rules and the rules for every transit airport.
- Check Zimbabwe customs requirements and declare goods when required.
- Record the agreed price, payment method, meeting place and what happens if the flight changes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send a parcel to Zimbabwe with someone who is flying there?
You can ask a traveller on Nhume to carry a parcel-sized item in their checked luggage. The traveller decides whether to accept it. Both people must check the airline, airport, transit and Zimbabwe customs rules before agreeing.
How much does it cost per kilogram from the UK to Zimbabwe?
There is no single Nhume rate. Each traveller lists their own price per kilogram. Multiply the accepted weight by that listing price, then agree directly whether any other cost applies before the handover.
Does Nhume collect the payment?
No. Nhume does not take or hold payment. The sender and traveller choose how and when to pay and should record what they agree.
What can a traveller carry to Zimbabwe?
Only items permitted by the airline and every country on the route may travel. The traveller should inspect every item, declare goods when required and refuse sealed, unknown, dangerous, illegal or restricted contents.
Does Nhume provide parcel tracking or insurance?
No. Nhume introduces senders and travellers but is not a courier, carrier or insurer. Members arrange the handover and updates directly, and a journey can change or be cancelled.
